Introduction: 

  • The University supports access to a wide range of software and applications to support research, teaching and learning, and business activities. 
  • Software availability depends on our user licenses and may be limited to specific user groups or University managed devices. 

  

Security:

 

  • If our systems detect an attempt to install non-approved software, you will be prompted to submit a request.  
  • You will be asked to provide a brief explanation including software name, function, version and download location.
  • Requests are usually responded to within one working day.

Software Center

A wide range of software to downloaded and install:

 

  • Software packages the University holds a site licence for.
  • Sign in with your university credentials.  
  • Depending on licensing, can be used on your personal device or on a university-managed device for off-campus use.
  • Some packages are available for Mac.

 

How to Access: 

 

  • Go to the Software Center on your computer: Start Menu > All Programs > Microsoft System Centre > Software Center
  • Select software from list or use search function. 
  • Read any notes and then click: Install.
